Keston Okoro to dump APC for PDP with thousands of his supporters

A former member of the Delta State House of Assembly and National President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Hon. Liege Lord Keston Okoro, has reportedly perfect plans to dump the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party, with thousands of his supporters and followers, Fresh Angle International has learnt.

Report says the former lawmaker, has already promised to reinvent the PDP in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Addressing newsmen in Asaba on his reported planned defection to the PDP, Hon Okoro, who was member of the Delta State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015 on the Democratic Peoples Party platform, disclosed that having consulted widely with his supporters, he had resolved to return to the PDP, where he was during the days of Chief James Onanefe Ibori.

Hon. Okoro, added that he was satisfied, “with the sterling leadership charisma of the incumbent Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, hence my decision to join the PDP family from now going forward”.

Okoro declared that he was going to formally enlist in the PDP family by signing the membership register: ‘’Very soon, before the end of August, 2020 at my Izagbo Ward in Aladja, I shall fully collapse my political structure into the PDP for all my future political endeavor. I am coming to the PDP to join the likes of Chief Eddie Ono-Sorhue, Chief Andrew Orugbo, Chief Moses Odibo, Chief Henry Sakpra, Hon. Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor and other leaders, to build the PDP of our dream, where Udu will take her pride of place as a progressive entity. I have sent signals to all my teeming fans and supporters, particularly the various youth leaders in Urhobo land, who look up to me as their role model. We shall take the land by the storm and register a strong force that will dictate the tide of political direction in favour of the PDP’’.

Chief Keston Okoro added: ‘’I am bringing my wealth of experience to bear on the political scene towards reinventing the PDP for better results. I am coming to take my place as one of the foremost political leaders from Aladja in particular and Udu in general. Only three of our kinds that were members of the House of Assembly are from Udu besides the incumbent. First is Chief Michael Oghenekaro, who was member of the defunct Bendel State House of Assembly, then Hon. Harvest Igben and yours sincerely. The incumbent, Hon. Peter Uviejitobor is currently doing his second term. We shall stand firm for what is right and galvanise Udu in the direction of progress, using our experiences as Assembly members to activate the latent beauty of Udu political glory. It shall be well with Udu’’.
