Woman breastfeeds baby to death

An unfortunate incident occurred at 51 Emebiren Street, Okumagba layout in Warri recently when a 25 year old woman breastfed her 4-month old baby to death.

Reliably sources in the neighbourhood informed Fresh Angle that the mother of the baby left her big breast in the mouth of the baby identified simply as Kenneth and slept overnight, only for the father of the baby to raise alarm at about 6am the following day that his baby was at the point of death.

Father of the baby who is popularly addressed as Baba Fryo told Our Senior Correspondent that he had severally warned his plump wife not to leave breast in the mouth of the baby whenever she wants to sleep, stressing that each time he cautions his wife, her response is always “go, you yeh yeh man”.

Eye witnesses say as at the time Baba Fryo alerted neighbours of the unfortunate incident,the baby was already dead and breast milk mixed with blood gushed out of his nose. A frustrated Baba Fryo in a bid to ease the pain drunk himself to stupor.

In another development, loyalists of slain Uvwie born politician, Chief Ogbe Onokpite continued their threat of making Delta State ungovernable by killing a mobile policeman along Ojabugbe junction near Olodi Primary School, Warri a week after they carried out similar operation at neighbouring Emebiren.
