Abdukadir: We have lost a great hero in workers welfares struggle- NLC

The Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, has expressed shock at the death of its National Treasurer Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel Abdukadir mni.

 
The State NLC Chairman, Comrade Onuh Edoka, in in a statement he personally signed on Thursday described the death of Abdulkadir as sudden, lamenting that he was a hero in the struggle for workers welfare at the local government level of the country.
 
Comr Edoka, who expressed deep pains over the loss of their National Treasurer, described his death as a big blow to the nation.
 
He noted that his death is one too many, which came at a time when his services to the nation was greatly needed, Particularly to the NLC and National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE.
 
 
Edoka, described the late Nlc national treasurer as a quintessential comrade who lived and died in the struggle for workers welfare.
 
While it noted that Late Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel Abdukadir left indelible legacies and achievements that would stand the test of time, Comrade Edoka urged the labour union not to be dampened, but rise to the occasion by sustaining the ideals he stood for.
 
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Edoka, who condole with the National President of NLC, Comrade Ayuba Waba over the irreplaceable loss  urged all members to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and for God Almighty to grant his immediate family, the labour movement in Nigeria the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
 
 
The Statement also consoled with all the National NLC, NULGE maintaining that Late  Abdukadir  lived a good life of service to the union.
 
The Late NLC National Treasurer who doubles as the National President, National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, was born in Wudi Kano State in 1969.
 
He died on Wednesday, 7th October, 2020 after  he slumped in his Abuja resident.
