You have done extremely well - Okowa’s Aide, Penawo tells Tidi

Special Adviser to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, in-Charge of the Directorate of Local Government Affairs, Prince Kelly Penawo, says the Dr. Michael Tidi led administration of Warri South Local Government Area, has done extremely well in the areas of infrastructural development, environmental sanitation and other aspects of governance, despite the dwindling resources of the local government.

Prince Penawo, gave the pass mark at the Warri South Local Government Council Main Secretariat, Friday October 16, when he visited the council as part of his tour of the 25 local government councils in the State.

The tour is to inspect, document and chronicle projects, programmes and achievements of the chairmen of local government councils across the state. 

The Assistant Director of Information, Warri South Local Government Council, Mrs. Ufuoma Ajuwa, reports that the Governor’s Aide, described Dr. Tidi as a proactive, intelligent and hardworking man: “Who is always ready to serve his people, hence projects are done by his administration, cutting across political class, staffers of the council as well as other inhabitants of the local government”.

Earlier on, the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, thanked the Special Adviser and his entourage, narrating his stewardship since assuming office.

According to Dr. Tidi, projects executed by his administration include renovation of both secretariats of the council, health centers, markets, provision of portable drinking water in the 19 wards that make up the local government area, continuous cleaning, clearing and evacuation of refuse, maintaining peace and security as well as orderliness in the local government.

The Council Boss said the narrative about Warri, has changed from bad to good as a result of the two Economic Summits organized by his administration in collaboration with Warri Economic Summit Group.

He also mentioned the empowerment and training of some youths in the local government area as part of his administration’s efforts to revamp the socio-economic life of Warri South Local Government.

Dr. Tidi, flanked by members of his executive, later took the Governor’s Aide and his entourage on a tour of some of the projects executed by his administration across the 19 DSIEC wards in Warri South Local Government Area.
