A renowned Itsekiri Patriot and one-time Supervisor for Agriculture in the then Warri South Local Government Area, Mr. Julius Erieye Otiri, will be buried December 4, 2020 in Warri, Delta State, a statement by the Otiri Family has revealed.

 Late Julius Otiri, whose shocking demise occurred in the dawn of Thursday October 15, 2020, served Itsekiri Nation selflessly on different occasions, including Coordinating the last National Population Commission, NPC Census on behalf of Itsekiri Nation and was at the helm of midwifing preparations for the forthcoming population census for Itsekiri Nation, before the cold hands of death snatched him away.

According to the statement by Otiri Family, a Service of Songs will be held in his honour Thursday December 3 by 4.00pm at his residence, No.1 Oritsejafor Close, off Bank Road, Ubeji in Warri, Delta State.

The statement signed by Napoleon Otiri, on behalf of the family and Jolomi Otiri for children, noted that on Friday December 4 by 8.00am, remains of the astute administrator, technocrat and Nationalist, will depart Nigerian Navy Mortuary, NPA Expressway, Warri, Delta State, for lying-in-state at his residence, Oritsejafor Close, off Bank Road, Warri by 8.30am.

The statement further disclosed that funeral Service will take place by 10.00am same day at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Ugbuwangue, Warri.

Interment is billed for 12.00 noon at his residence, No. 3 Tukpo Close off New Layout Road, Egbokodo, Warri. Thereafter, entertainment of guests will follow at Ubeji Grammar School, Ubeji, Warri.

The family also added that a Thanksgiving Service will be held Sunday December 6 by 10.00am at St Andrew’s Anglican Church, Ugbuwangue, Warri.

Late Julius Otiri, is survived by his beloved wife, Deaconess Felicia Otiri, two children; Mrs. Sisan Amotsuka and Mr. Jolomi Otiri as well as two grandchildren, uncles, brothers, sisters and other relations.
