Nnamdi Kanu: You might face the battle axe - Ohanaeze Ndigbo warns Abaribe
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe

The Igbo socio-cultural youth organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC Worldwide, has warned Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and other sureties of Nnamdi Kanu, saying they might: “Face the battle axe of the law, as the same situation that befell Senator Ali Ndume, if they fail to Produce Nnamdi Kanu in person before the Federal High Court, Abuja”.

In an electronic statement sent to Fresh Angle International this morning, Friday November 27, the apex Igbo youth body, described the commencement of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu's trial in absentia by Abuja Federal High Court, led by Justice Binta Nyarko, “as the beginning of repatriation proceedings of Nnamdi Kanu back to Nigeria by Federal Government”.

The statement signed by OYC President- General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, its Deputy President – General, Comrade Obinna Achionye and the Secretary-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, opined that Igbo leaders’ silence on the reopening of Nnamdi Kanu’s case, “is an affirmative evidence that Igbo leaders were not interested to stick out their heads to save him (Kanu) this time around”.

The statement added: “Nnamdi Kanu's ferocious rantings and continuous threats against Southeast Governors, Igbo leaders and issuance of standing orders of attacks abroad, against Southeast Politicians and leaders, is affirmative action that he (Kanu) had squandered the Goodwill of Igbo leaders, who are in position to facilitate for him the soft landings in his recent trial, with audio evidence of the post Endsars violence initiated by Kanu's vituperative orders on radio Biafra to his followers, which resulted to destruction of public properties in the Southeast and genocidal killings of Igbos in Obigbo (oyibo) Rivers State, are estimated to have contributed why Igbo leaders had deserted him in his recent trial.

“The current leadership crisis amongst top officials of Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB is another catastrophic disaster in waiting for Nnamdi Kanu's IPOB. There's no doubt that IPOB leader is on the radar of extinction and losing relevance in Igboland, with the high level of (alleged)fraudulent activities leaked out by his former colleagues, especially  his Deputy, Uche Mefor, the odds are against him (Kanu), he needs to revert back to original status quo for  nonviolence agitation and plead for forgiveness from Igbo leaders and mourn those killed in the struggle.

“Nnamdi Kanu's case is pathetic and unfortunately the recent outcry of military invasion in his hometown, Afaraukwu, Umuahia, is an outdated strategy craftily designed to attract public sympathy which had been squandered too, there's only one way out for Nnamdi Kanu, OYC is ready to help him get Presidential Pardon from Federal Government especially with the existing cordial relationships between Southeast Governors and President Muhammadu Buhari but on the condition that he should show remorseful repentance in actions and apologize to Southeast governors and leaders in private or public”.
