Sketchy piece of information reaching Fresh Angle International, says a mobile policeman, was at about 2:25pm today, Friday December 11, killed by gunmen along Jakpa Road, almost opposite Church of God Mission (Praise Centre) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
A source told This Newspaper that the mobile policeman, who escorted a man to a nearby drink shop , was standing outside the shop, waiting for the man he escorted, when the gunmen came down from a vehicle and shot straight at him several times until he was confirmed dead, before they made away with the AK 47 riffle he was carrying.
The gunmen allegedly left the bloody scene with the AK 47 riffle alone, while the man the mobile policeman was protecting was inside the drink shop, where he went to purchase drinks when the gunmen struck.
