Warri North Chairmanship: Agbukumasa gives reasons why it will resist ceding position to Egbema Ijaws

A pro Itsekiri action movement, Agbukumasa, has identified minority ward status and alleged betrayal by the Egbema Ijaws in the last Senatorial election, as reasons why it will resist the purported deal to make an Ijaw man the next Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area in the March 6, 2021 Delta Local Government Poll.

The Warri North Chapter of Agbukumasa in a statement authored by its Spokesman, Gen. Louis, declared: "We can not allow people with 4 wards, who are clear political minority to lord over us in our God - given local government. The so called Itsekiri leaders should not negotiate our future with the Ijaws, because of selfish interest.

"Their interest is not for the good of the Itsekiri people, so we can not allow them to perpetuate this evil against us. The Egbema Ijaws betrayed us in the last Senatorial election, so why should we cede our future to them? We will resist this with the last drop of our blood", Agbukumasa threatened.
