In what can be described as counter protest in favour of unit 11 of Ekurede/ Ugbori Ward producing the councillorship candidate for the March 6 Delta State Local Government Poll, a group of youths from Ugbori and Ekurede Itsekiri Communities, earlier today, Saturday January 9, staged a protest, endorsing Hon. Urowayino Lori, to run for a second term as the councilor to represent the ward in the next Warri South Local Government Council Legislative Arm.
This Newspaper understands that the endorsement is sequel to that of prominent PDP leaders in the ward, who purportedly signed a communique, backing the re - election bid of Hon. Urowayino.
A youth leader in Ekurede Itsekiri Community who spoke during the protest, Aboyowa Oghomienor, stated that Hon. Urowayino had done enough to represent the constituency in the next political dispensation of Warri South Local Government.
He thanked PDP leaders in the ward for supporting the candidacy of Hon. Urowayino, assuring that everything would be done to ensure the victory of the lawmaker, who was a principal officer in the last Warri South Council legislature.
Fresh Angle International gathered that the protesters, comprising of male and female youths, carried placards in solidarity for Hon. Urowayino.
