Omaro, Atakere were arrested by JTF for terrorizing our people, Omadino leaders allege

Chairman of Omadino Management Committee, Mr. Gabriel Ebietomere, the Vice Chairman, Mr. Fredrick Asin and Madam Olaten Loveth Yomere, have reacted to the reported whisking away of Francis Niro Omaro and Samson Etami Atakere by Armed Men in Military Camouflage, saying the duo were picked on the orders of the JTF Commander, for allegedly, “terrorizing Omadino people with guns”.

This Newspaper, had exclusively reported earlier today that Armed Men in Military Camouflage at about 4:30 am, allegedly stormed Omadino Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State and whisked one of the factional Community Youth President, Francis Niro Omaro and his Taskforce Chairman, Samson Etami Atakere to unknown destination.

Public Relations Officer, PRO of the Francis Omaro led youth leadership, Joshua Ghereje, had hinted Fresh Angle International via telephone at about 5:30 am today of the disappearance of Francis Omaro and Samson Atakere, saying the Armed Men numbering about seven, came in an 18 - Seater Tinted Bus and one Hilux Van.

According to Ghereje, the Lexus Jeep of Francis Omaro, was allegedly damaged Sunday January 10 by purported thugs, before the incident of today.

But the Omadino leaders; Mr. Gabriel Ebietomere, Mr. Fredrick Asin and Madam Olaten Loveth Yomere, in a swift reaction, claimed that Francis Niro Omaro, Samson Etami Atakere and their cohorts, had allegedly shot sporadically in Omadino, threatening people and went further to purportedly destroy the home of Mr. Fredrick Asin.

According to them, the actions of the embattled factional youth president, Francis Niro Omaro and his supporters, was orchestrated by the Amb. Austine Oniyesan leadership, whose second tenure has “since elapsed” and have been making moves to extend their control of the oil-rich community.

Mr. Gabriel Ebietomere, Mr. Fredrick Asin and Madam Olaten Loveth Yomere, further told Your Soaring International Tabloid that some women of Omadino, have been sleeping in the bush for the past three days, as a result of the activities of Francis Omaro’s faction.

While disclosing that they have decided to set-up an interim youth body, pending the resolution of the litigation between the Prince Metsese Diden and Francis Omaro’s factions of the youth body, the Omadino leaders, alleged that the JTF Commander mandated the arrest of Omaro and Atakere, after conducting independent investigation as regards the spate of violence in the community.
