Delta LG Poll: We want to change writing of results - W/ South APC Chair

Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Mareo Owumi, says the party is determined to change the narrative that results for local government election in the state is written by Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, vowing that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party would lose the March 6 chairmanship and councillorship elections.

 

The APC Chairman, made the vow at Ogiame Primary School in Ugbori, Warri, Sunday February 14, while presenting the party's flag to Comrade Daniel Oyibo, who is the APC Councillorship Candidate for Ekurede/ Ugbori Ward 14 (DSIEC Ward) in Warri South.

 

While noting that the impressive turn - out of people for Comrade Oyibo's flag - off, was a sign that they believe in the ideals of APC, Owumi declared that they will start the takeover of the state from the ward and local government levels.

 

He opined that PDP crisis is worse than that of APC, saying APC is one in Warri South Local Government and noted that the party, "want to do revalidation and registration of new members".

 

In his remarks after receiving his party flag, Comrade Daniel Oyibo, disclosed how he recently paid almost twelve thousand naira for uniforms and books for some pupils in Ogiame Primary School, Warri, saying the ward is lacking child - education.

According to the APC Councillorship hopeful, if more children are encouraged to enroll in school and see the importance of education, the violence and insecurity recently experienced in the area would not reoccure.

 

He stated that his candidacy was not to do business, expressing optimism that victory is sure come March 6.

 

Oyibo appealed to APC leaders to ensure that adequate security is provided on election day to avoid rigging and intimidation of voters.

 

Fresh Angle International can report that other APC leaders that spoke during the event include Prince Charles Omadeli, Mr. Austin Oriboye the party's chairmanship candidate for Warri South in the forthcoming March 6 election, Mr. Debi Ogona.

 

A Senatorial aspirant on the platform of APC in the last general polls, Young Piero, was among party chieftains that graced the flag - off.
