Major civil construction works have commenced on the deplorable Asaba–Illah–Ebu Federal road in Delta State, information obtained today, Sunday February 21 by Fresh Angle International, from the verified twitter handle of the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo - Agege, has revealed.
The rehabilitation work reportedly commenced following the intervention of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
Fresh Angle International understands that the road is a major road linking Asaba to Abuja, through Illah.
Recall that towards the last quarter of 2020, prominent Illah sons, including Ogbuenyi Engr. Peter Ofuase (Ikeobi Illah), Ogbuenyi Ossy Gbemudu (Omelora Illah), amongst others visited and sought the DSP’s intervention on the major road project.
Prominent amongst them was Ogbuefi Barr. Alex Onwuadiamu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Deputy Chief of Staff to the DSP.
The delegation delivered a letter from the IDUN President-General, Professor Lawrence Ezemonye, with a specific and passionate appeal to the DSP to assist them in getting the important, but dilapidated road reconstructed.
