West Africa tops COVID-19 vaccine distribution in Africa with 31.2m


Figures obtained by Fresh Angle International from the twitter handle of BudgIT this morning, Monday March 1, showed that the West African Sub Region will receive 31.2m doses of the COVID-19 through COVAX, the highest Coronavirus vaccine distribution in Africa.

The breakdown further revealed that 19.4m will be shipped to East Africa, while Central Africa, South Africa and North Africa will receive 11.2m, 11.1m and 3.1m doses, respectively. 

Meanwhile, Coronavirus positive cases have continued to drop in Nigeria, with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, confirming 240 new cases and two deaths in the country yesterday, Sunday February 28.
