Farmers/Herders Conflict: CSAD tasks security agencies on quick response to intelligence

As part of measures to end farmers and herders conflict in Ndokwa-West Local Government Area of Delta State, a non-governmental organization, Community Security Architecture Dialogue, CSAD, has tasked security agencies to quickly respond to intelligence from locals.

 

Our Kwale Correspondent reports that the Chairman of Community Security Architecture Dialogue, CSAD cum Chief Security Officer, CSO of Ndokwa-West Local Government Area, Comr. Fidelis Ojugbeli, made the call yesterday, Wednesday March 10 at Ndokwa – West Local Government Council Secretariat in Kwale, during CSAD meeting.

Comrade Ojugbeli, also admonished CSAD members to give out information promptly to the appropriate quarters, whenever the need arises.

 

Speaking on the perceived nonchalant attitude of cattle owners toward attending peace building meetings organized by CSAD, Comrade Ojugbeli, stated that they agreed that stern warning be given to the cattle owners on the need to attend such peace parleys, before disciplinary measures would be taken.

 

Fresh Angle International understands that security reports from different communities were documented during the meeting, while action plans were drawn and established, with a view to advancing peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders in the area. 

 

Delegates from the Nigeria Police Force in Kwale, SSS, Civil Defense, Immigration, Vigilante, CDC Chairmen and Secretaries of different communities in Ndokwa -West, Youth Council Chairman, Community Development Officers and Information Officers, attended the jaw-jaw.
