The Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has called for the initiation of policies and programme that will enhance technological advancement in the country.
Comrade Oshiomhole made the call in Auchi while declaring open a 7-day programme tagged6th Polytechnic exposition 2012.
He expressed dissatisfaction at the current situation where the country depends solely on petroleum, stressing that Nigeria can only attain full potentials through policies and programmes geared towards technological development.
The registrar of National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, Benin City, Dr.Olatunde Aworanti averred that the graduate doldrums in technological courses has dropped within the past five years by 48%.
Our Auchi Correspondent who attended the exposition reports that items such as solar generator, pumping machines, filters and transformer feeders were displayed at the 7-day programme which held at Auchi Polytechnic Sport complex, with over 25 institutions sending representatives.
