Godday Obi Nzete, has disclosed plans by his administration to commence the perimeter fencing of Ndokwa West Council Secretariat in Kwale by the end of this month (March) directing the council’s Head of Budget Department, to liaise with the Head of Personnel Management with a view to setting machineries in motion for the project take-off.
Our Kwale Correspondent reports that Hon. Nzete, made the disclosure earlier today, Wednesday March 24, when he played host to members of Ndokwa West Council Executive of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE.
The Council Boss, reportedly assured the union executive that he will provide toilet facilities in the council secretariat, fix the NULGE bus, provide ICT facilities to enhance staff performance and address other issues affecting workers’ welfare, even as he solicited for patience and co-operation from the workforce.
Fresh Angle International can report that the Ndokwa West Council Chairman of NULGE, Comr. Ikechukwu Opone, who led other members of his Exco to the Council Boss on the familiarization visit, outlined challenges facing staffers of the council to include: Non-payment of claims of dead staff, non-payment of out-of-pocket expenses incurred while attending seminars and promotion interviews, the need to rehabilitate NULGE bus, completing the staff canteen, provision of toilet facilities in the offices, perimeter fencing of the council secretariat and giving facelift to the council’s conference hall.
