Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has warned desperate politicians intending to obstruct the expected free, fair and credible election in the Aba Federal Constituency Bye-election fixed for tomorrow, Saturday March 27, saying they will crash.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural body in an electronic statement syndicated to Fresh Angle International this morning, Friday March 26, alleged that the unnamed desperate politicians were mobilizing hoodlums and intend to use violence and vote buying to force themselves against the will of Aba people.
The statement signed by the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, called on Aba residents to vote their conscience to replace late Ossy Prestige.
The statement stressed: “Ndigbo are aware of the importance of this election, and Aba-Enyimba is very critical towards solving the myriads of economic challenges facing Ndigbo in this pandemic crisis, the irresistible nature of Aba is expected to come into play in 27th March elections, the Enyimba indomitable spirit should be encouraged for the protection of aba votes, nobody should turn aba into theater of war zone”.
