Going by the doctrine of feeding the needy during the period of the Holy Ramadan, the Director of Foreign Affairs and Integration, United Arab emirate, of National Youths Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Tazan Saahibfatatiu has brought succor to the inmates of Stagi Cornerstone Orphanage.

 

Tazan, made this known in a chat with newsmen after the presentation of food items and provisions to the orphanage noted that alms giving during Ramadan fast is considered one of the most admonished good deeds in Islam. 

 

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Tazan added that the message of communal responsibility is reinforced through fasting and this, he maintained, encourages empathy and compassion for those that are less privileged in the society.

 

According to him, the world would be a better place for all if only everyone takes from the little they have to help those in need.

 

While commenting on the state of Kogi economy, Tazan lauded Governor Bello, for the giant stride recorded in security, stressing that the peace in the state has encouraged people like him to come home and do business, see family and friends very often.

 

He maintained that the youths can do a lot if given the chance to rule, stressing that the country is blessed with resourceful youths both home and abroad, who are making waves and changing the narratives of the various sector they find themselves. 

 

Earlier, his friend who accompanied him, Hon. Chukwuma Trust, lauded the effort of his friend, adding that he feels motivated to go back home and replicate same.

 

While he promised to keep helping the orphanage on regular bases, he donated cash gift to support the orphanage.   

 

Speaking on behalf of the owner of the home, the Matron in-Charge of the orphanage, Mrs. Clara Owosagba, expressed delight over the items, adding that the items will go a long way in providing regular food for the children.

 

She further called on the government through the State Ministry of Health to help provide care for one of the orphans, who is a sickle cell patient and in need of medical attention.
