Beautification of Warri is not to punish anyone, Tidi explains

Second - term Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, says the ongoing activities of Warri South Local Government Council Taskforce on Beautification, is not to punish anyone, but to give a facelift to Warri and bring it at per with other clean cities in the country.

 

Dr. Tidi, whose policy direction is anchored on a cleaner, safer and environmentally friendly Warri South as impetus for attracting rapid socio - economic development,,commended traders and other business owners in Warri that complied with the specifications for beautifying major roads in the Oil City, just as he expressed delight with security agencies for their partnership.

 

The Warri South Council Boss, spoke Saturday April 24, while monitoring the state monthly environmental sanitation exercise cum enforcement of the roadmap on improving the aesthetics of Warri by the Warri South Local Government Council Taskforce on Beautification.

 

He explained that the delay in setting up the council's mobile court on environmental sanitation, was occasioned by the ongoing strike by Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, saying his administration will continue to do everything geared towards a cleaner Warri South.

 

The Chairman of Warri South Council Taskforce on Beautification, Mr. Kenneth George, coordinated the evacuation of illegal structures and refuse along the Warri South Council Main Secretariat axis of Warri Sapele Road, NPA Bypass by Ugbori and Ekurede Itsekiri, adjacent the NPA New Port, Mciver Market Roundabout, Okere Road and other strategic locations in Warri. 

 

Vice Chairman of the Taskforce on Beautification and former principal member of Warri South Council Legislative Arm, Hon. Mavis Onojeghwho, disclosed plans by members of the taskforce to continually carry out its assignment in a manner that would be unpredictable, so as to achieve the desired result in good time.
