As the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom in Delta State, HRM. (Maj.Gen.) Felix Mujakperuo Rtd. Orhue I and his subjects begin process towards making sure an Okpe indigene emerges the next governor of Delta State come 2023, the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on Saturday April 24, declared: "We are on the same page. Power belongs to God and I believe that the will of God must come to pass".
The Speaker, made the declaration during a chat with newsmen at the end of the Annual General Conference/Convention organized by the Interim National Committee of Okpe Union.
The event which had the theme"repositioning Okpe Union for the Unity and Development of Okpe Kingdom" held at Orerokpe, headquarters of Okpe Kingdom in Okpe Local Government Area , Delta State.
The member representing Sapele/Okpe and Uvwie Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Efe Afe, who was represented by Chief Isaac Itebu, urged Okpe people to position themselves enable Okpe Nation produce the next governor of Delta State.
