Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has assured Ndigbo that the current insecurity challenges in the South-East will soon disappear, saying it is, “all about 2023 and efforts of Igbo detractors destabilizing the zone”.
The assurance of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, came: “After high level meetings and assurances of critical stakeholders in Igboland and Abuja,"
The apex Igbo socio-cultural group in a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, declared: “ We have gotten assurances that South-East Governors, will be encouraged by federal authorities to suppress the increasing threats from unknown Gunmen and Herdsmen.
“The youths are at the centre of these crisis ', and there will retraining programs and amnesty programs too, Federal authorities should end all marginalization and provocative actions against Southeast, there will be Town Hall meetings with the youths of the zone in May 2021.
“Igbos will stamp out these menace, immediately Southeast Governors settle with the Youths.
“Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma should return home immediately and make peace with the youths and settle all differences between him and imolites " we can assist him wherever he needs help ".
