People of Akpakpa Ward 6 in Ugborodo, Warri South - West Local Government Area of Delta State, have accused Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of marginalization, saying no project has been executed in their ward since 2015 when Dr. Okowa took over as governor of the state.
In the petition titled: "Complaint of Marginalization of Akpakpa Ward (6) in Warri South West Local Government Council Area of Delta State", they stated: "We lack basic social amenities like housing, cottage hospital, portable drinking water and primary school etc."
The petition, which was addressed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and signed by Messrs Emmanuel Edah, Andrew Emami, Abraham Enegho, Misan Kuyatsemi, Gabriel Tuoyo and Jerry Omunu, noted : This has become necessary to draw your attention to the sufferings of our people, due to the perceived act of marginalization of our people by your government".
"We plead that you should use your good office to build any of these projects ( housing, cottage hospital, portable drinking water and primary school) in Akpakpa Ward 6, before the end of your administration", the petition made available to Fresh Angle International, Sunday May 2, declared.
