Hon. Efe Afe Donates medical equipment, drugs worth 80 million naira to Health Care Centres

The Member Representing Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Efe Afe, has distributed medical equipment and drugs worth N80 million to health care centres in his constituency, Fresh Angle International can report.

 

Hon Afe, who reportedly made the distribution at Orerokpe, Okpe Local Government Council Secretariat, enjoined the Chairmen of Uvwie, Sapele and Okpe Local Government Areas, to ensure they evenly distribute the drugs and medical equipment to the various Health centres within their local government areas.

 

Represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Chief Isaac Itebu, the Federal lawmaker, warned against a situation, where drugs are left to rot away or expire under the guise of no sufficient funds to distribute them to the various Health Centers.

 

" In the past, drugs were left to rot away or expire under the guise of no sufficient funds to distribute them to the various local government health centres, this situation is not good" ,he emphasized.

Hon. Afe, stated that he would continue to provide good leadership and purposeful representation, through important motions and bills, that would have great impact on his constituents.

 

He disclosed that he had provided 500 KVA transformers to Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Local Government Areas and sponsored several bills that would impact meaningfully on the lives of peoples of his constituency.

 

Responding, the Chairman of Okpe Local Government Area, Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa, commended Hon. Efe Afe for the gesture, stressing: “He has been known for his free Medicare to the people, before he became a Federal lawmaker”. 

 

Delta State Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso, represented by the party's Organizing Secretary, Chief Sunday Onoriode, PDP Chairmen of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Local Government Areas, Chief Efe Ukoh, Chief Pekins Umukoro and Elder Efe Okoledo, respectively, in their separate remarks, thanked Hon. Afe for boosting primary health care service delivery in his constituency .

 

They pledged to monitor the distribution of the Drugs and Medical Equipment to the various Health care centres.
