A renowned Cleric and Minister in-Charge of Shalom Baptist Church, Pipeline Road Ekpan, near Warri, Delta State, Pastor Opate Bright, says parents have failed woefully in tackling various social vices associated with youths in the country.
Pastor Bright, made the declaration Sunday June 6, while speaking on “Reality of Youth Life”, during Shalom Baptist Church’ Youth Week Discussion Forum.
He noted that Pastors and other Men of God, have consistently done alot in counselling young people against getting involved in inimical activities that can truncate their shinning future.
The Man of God, posited that due to parental failure, pastors are “casting out heavy demons from youths, because parents are not monitoring their children in their homes, making it more difficult in correcting and reshaping the negative psychomotor of youths in Nigeria.”
Pastor Bright, stressed that there are jobs in the country, but youths don't want to work, preferring quick money.
According to him, very soon Nigeria may not have young people practicing automobile mechanic, especially across towns and cities in Niger Delta, just as he charged youths to learn handiwork, particularly those who can't go to school.
