Rescue our workers alive- Ceramic Company, begs security agencies


The Management of West African Royal Ceramics Company, Ajaokuta in Kogi State, has urged security agencies in the State to rescue their workers alive from the hands of abductors.

 

Recall that gunmen yesterday morning, Wednesday June 30, kidnapped eight workers of the firm at Emiworo under Ajaokuta Local Government Area Kogi State.

 

The Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi State, DSP William Ovye Aya, while confirming the incident to Our Kogi Correspondent yesterday evening, however said only six mining workers of the company, were kidnapped.

 

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, PRO of West African Royal Ceramics Company, Hassan Illugbami Igo and made available to newsmen in Lokoja today, Thursday July 1, the company strongly condemned the abduction of its workers, saying, “efforts are ongoing to rescue its workers”.

 

The statement explained that all security agencies in the area have been mobilized to track down the perpetuators, free those in their custody and make their abductors face the full wrath of the law.
