The District Governor, DG, of Liberty Intelligence Our Nations Safety, LIONS, under District 404A1, Nigeria, LN. (Mrs.) Fortune Wagbatsoma, has revealed plans by Club to feed 1,000 women and children in one day, come January 2022, across the five states that make up the district.
DG Wagbatsoma, who made the revelation Wednesday July 7, during a press briefing held in Warri, Delta State, noted that the district has 112 communities, which have benefitted from LIONS Club, assuring that more communities will benefit.
While listing their primary responsibilities as serving the needy, under privileged and the hungry in the society, she noted that government cannot do it alone, hence LIONS Club is assisting them.
The DG, disclosed the Club’s plan to upgrade the eye-clinic at Centre Hospital, Warri as well as rebrand three children wards across government hospitals in the district. She added that: "We will be engaging the youths, August 12 in Warri. Although, we have started some projects, but this is one of our big projects".
LN. Muyiwa Laju Olausi, Onodjakeh Aruoture Loveth and LN. Boma A. Orubima, were among LIONS present during the briefing.
