Governor Yahaya Bello

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kogi State, has carpeted Governor Yahaya Bello led All Progressive Congress, APC, Government over alleged plans to sell properties belonging to the State.

The PDP in a statement Sunday August 1, signed by it's Director, media and Communication, Mr. Dayo Onibiyo, described the alleged move by the ruling party as regrettable, low, shameful, and appalling.

While condemning this alleged act, the PDP in the statement called on the Government to put an immediate stoppage to the plans vowing that the party would recover every pin, within the ambits of the law in case the advice is not heeded.

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that the party while admitting that in this 21st century some states in the country are busy acquiring wealth for their citizen expressed dismayed that the Yahaya Bello led government is busy causing havoc and pains for the people.

"We do not wish to distract the governance of the state if its on course, but can not watch these drifts as they are endangering the progress of our dear state, in a critical time like this" he said.

The opposition party is however troubled over the squandering of state properties by the APC which was acquired by the founding fathers of the state.

He further described the ruling party as 'prodigal children' who have found themselves in positions of authority by several dishonest factors.

He called on the people of Kogi State both home and in the diaspora to look beyond party line to stop the government from accomplishing the task of selling properties belonging to the state.
