Kogi State Health Insurance Agency has reiterated its commitment to partner with Civil Society Organizations, CSOs in a bid to keep the core Mandate of ensuring equitable access to quality health care delivery Services for All Residents of Kogi State.
Speaking at a one day Sensitization Meeting of Civil Society Organizations On Vital and Voluntary premium contributions of the agency, the Executive Secretary, Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Aledare Adekunle said the Agency is poised to speedily ensure that the Commitment of Governor’s Yahaya Bello Administration in Prioritizing Health Care delivery and which is a thematic area of the new direction Agenda of his administration is actualized for the people of the State.
Dr. Aledare further disclosed that the Agency has seen the need to engage the active participation and involvement of the coalition of the Civil Society Organizations in the State in reaching out to the public especially those in the rural areas, for them to get enrolled in the state Health Insurance scheme for Maximum benefits of Accessing Quality Health Care services.
He noted that the active involvement of the Civil Society Organizations would go a long way in assisting the Agency to enroll all the segment of the population of the State who are more of the informal Sector of the state Population.
The Executive Secretary equally stated that the desired enrollment of the informal Sector would help the agency to provide an efficient and sustainable mechanism of pooling financial resources together for Strategic Purchasing of health care services to confer optimal financial Risks Protection to all Residents of the State.

According to him, the agency provides equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare services for all residents of Kogi State irrespective of social-economic status to ensure universal health coverage.
Also Speaking on the Motive for coming up with the meeting with the civil society organizations, the Program officer of the Agency, Dr. Yetunde Oyeyemi enlightened the participants on the contribution Rate of the program, the services covered and most importantly the benefits package of the program which according to her would guarantee improving access to quality health care services across the state and ultimately prevent Premature deaths and improve Life Expectancy of the people of the State.
