You have prioritized staff welfare, improved fight against insecurity - NULGE praises Tidi

Warri South Local Government Council Chapter of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, says Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has continued to prioritize staff welfare within and outside the workspace as well as scaled up the fight against insecurity in the local government, since assuming office for a second term.

Chairman of NULGE, Warri South Local Government Council, Comrade Raymond Emiko, made the assertion in a goodwill message to mark the birthday of Dr. Michael Tidi, which falls on Wednesday September 15.

Comrade Emiko, asserted that despite the unstable economic outlook in the country, the Warri South Local Government Chief Executive, has fashioned out ways of releasing improved stipends to staff, so as to mitigate the effect of increased cost of transportation to work.

The Warri South Council NULGE Chairman, who also commended Dr. Tidi, for supporting the union's activities, noted :" We are equally happy with the improved working synergy our chairman, Dr. Michael Tidi, has with the Legislative Arm of the Council. This was taken a step further with the recent presentation of a Sienna Bus to the leadership of the Legislative Arm, with a promise to do more."

While praying God to continually grant Dr. Tidi with sound health and longevity as he marks another milestone in his glorious years, the union added: "His second term policy thrust anchored on improved environmental sanitation/ beautification as well as peace and security, is not just on paper, but action in progress amid the economic challenges posed by the COVID - 19 pandemic. Apart from strategic engagements with community leaders and other stakeholders, the Dr. Tidi administration just presented two vehicles to the police at ' A' and' B' Divisions in Warri, to enhance mobility of security personnel in the area and ultimately boost the fight against crime and other forms of insecurity."
