Argentine-born Barcelona legend, Lionel Messi, has come under severe social media attacks, over what looked like a snub of Coach of Paris Saint-Germain, PSG, Mauricio Pochettino, after he was substituted in a top-of-the-bill French Ligue 1 match between PSG and Lyon, yesterday, Sunday September 19.

Reports say Pochettino, made one of the most talked-about moves of PSG's season, when he decided to yank Messi in the 76th minute of the game, when the score was 1-1. The Argentine- born PSG Gaffer, opted to bring in former Inter Milan Ace, Achraf Hakimi in place of Messi.

Fresh Angle International understands that in the 72nd minute, cameras showed Messi flexing his left knee as if it were giving him problems, just moments before the substitution. But the same cameras also reportedly showed him flashing a thumbs-up signal in the direction of the bench, indicating that he'd be just fine.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of PSG, with Mauro Icardi scoring in the 90+3 extra time.

A cross section of soccer fans across the globe, who were not pleased with Messi’s reaction to the substitution, took to their Facebook page this morning, Monday September 20 and tongue-lashed the Argentine often referred to by many as the World’s Best player.

While Ome Hizha, stated: “After all those wages u can't score a single goal, Ole”, James Herrador averred: “Getting past it now, Ronaldo not far behind him”.

Adelana Samuel Adewale, commented: “In farmer league, can't even score one goal”, leaving Taiwo Tajudeen, with the post: “I said it that is Barcelona that favour Messi, not only Messi that favour Barcelona, it was as if am (sic) lying, now four matches no goal, King CR7 four matches three four goals. Rolando has play (sic) in a different teams as shine Messi only PSG now oo Rolando as proof to the whole world that far better than Messi”.

Evans Omweri, enthused: “Mannerless”, while Oscar Saka, opined: “End of career, what a shame, learn to humble yourself Messi. We know how talented you're, but please hold your fire”.
