Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report that the empowerment programme, saw each of the 36 pioneer beneficiaries, who neither hold elective or appointive positions, going home with twenty thousand naira (N20, 000.00) each, totaling seven hundred and twenty thousand naira (N720,0000.00).

The largesse received by the 36 Party Faithful, was for September (last month) with another set of beneficiaries, expected to get theirs this October, in what has be penciled down as a monthly socio-economic lifeline for less opportune PDP members.

In his remarks during the flag-off exercise held at the PDP Secretariat in Warri, Warri South PDP Chairman, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe, thanked political leaders in Warri South, “for not mincing words to ensure that this project, which is a directive of His Excellency (Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State Governor) is carried out”.

Mr. Agbeyegbe explained: “The money is derived from elected political representatives and appointees. By the grace of God, we shall be empowering three people from the 12 wards in the Council monthly. Those who haven't gotten the empowerment, should be patient, it will go round. This is our first outing, hence some grey areas, which we hope to improve upon. Thanks to the contributors. Those who will be empowered, should utilize the token to make it grow to become billions”.

The Member Representing Warri South Constituency 1 in Delta State House of Assembly, Dr. Augustine Uroye, appreciated Mr. Agbeyegbe, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi and others for their contributions, saying: “I must thank the governor of the State for this wonderful show of love. I want to appeal to those who have not keyed into this idea, to do so, to enable us help others, who are not privileged to be in our positions”.
