Constituency Projects: Opuoru begins renovation, execution of toilet facilities in four Warri schools

The Member Representing Warri South Constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, has commenced the renovation of classroom blocks in two primary schools and construction of ultra-modern toilet facilities/stores at two secondary schools in Warri, Delta State.

 

The developments, which form part of the 2021 constituency projects of Hon. Opuoru, are the renovation of a block of six classrooms at Olodi Primary School, renovation of a block of two classrooms at Aileru Primary School and the construction of eight toilet facilities/stores in Essi College II and United College of Commerce, simultaneously.

 

Hon. Opuoru, who embarked on a tour of the projects’ sites in the early hours of Monday October 4 with a retinue of his Aides, explained that the intervention at Olodi Primary School, was occasioned by a plea from the former Head Teacher of the school.

The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Trade and Investment, noted that despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa was investing a lot on education and other critical infrastructures, so as to ensure the masses enjoy the benefits of democracy.

 

 

 

 

Conducting Hon. Opuoru and members of his entourage round the projects, CEO of Stoe Construction Works Limited (the company handling the projects) Engr. Ojei Stanley, assured that the renovation of Olodi Primary School, which commenced middle of last month (September) would be completed by November ending, saying the other projects will also be accomplished in record time.

Fresh Angle International can report that the current Head Teacher of Olodi Primary School, Mrs. Idogho Henrietta and the Principal of Essi College II, Chief (Mrs.) Tina Brown, were on ground to receive Hon. Opuoru, thanking him for executing the projects.

Recall that on August 13, 2020, eight public primary and secondary schools under Warri South Constituency 2 in Warri South Local Government Area; vis-à-vis Ikengbuwa, Pessu, Igbudu, Olodi and Ighogbadu Primary Schools as well as Edjeba Secondary School and Essi College I and II respectively, received new 540 desks and 60 teachers’ tables/chairs, courtesy of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, in concert with Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru.

While Ikengbuwa Primary School got sixty desks, six teachers’ tables/chairs, Pessu Primary School received sixty desks, six teachers’ tables/chairs and Edjeba Secondary School, took delivery of eighty desks and ten teachers’ chairs/tables.

 

Ighogbadu Primary School, received eighty desks and eight teachers’ chairs/tables, while Igbudu Primary School got sixty desks and six teachers’ chairs/tables, leaving Essi College I, with fifty desks and six teacher’s chairs/ tables, while Essi College II, received ninety desks and twelve teachers’ chairs/tables. Olodi Primary School took delivery of sixty desks and six teachers’ chairs/tables.
