The Future of Nigeria’s energy is gas, Olu of Warri declares

The Olu of Warri, His Imperial Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, says the future of Nigeria’s energy is more gas for industrialization and domestic usage, adding that crude oil which is the mainstay of the country’s economy, is domiciled abundantly in his domain.

 

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the Warri Monarch made the declaration today, Tuesday October 19 at the Olu Palace Warri, while playing host to the Management of Nigeria Gas Marketing Company, NGMC.

 

According to the Warri King, Nigeria has learnt from its past mistake and now alive for more gas to speed up the economy.

 

Ogiame Atuwatse III, urged the NGMC team to treat his subjects with dignity, provide jobs for them as well as give them all their dues.

 

Earlier, the Managing Director, NGMC Warri and Head of the delegation, His Royal Majesty, Justine Uzoma Ezeala, commended the Olu of Warri for the warm reception, assuring him that the Nigeria Gas Marketing Company, will not leaving Warri.

HRM Ezeala, promised to always attract development to Warri, saying, Warri has blessed him and he will make sure development and peace are sustained in the area.

 

He assured that the company will create jobs for people of Warri Kingdom, stressing that with sustained peaceful environment, smooth operations and development, will be sustained.

 

Fresh Angle International can report that the Revered Warri Monarch, also played host to officials of the Warri Unit Command, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, led by its Unit Commander, ASC Danjuma Goje.

ASC Goje, pledged to serve people of Warri as it affects safety on the road and solicited the Olu of Warri’s support, in order to succeed.

 

In his response, Ogiame Atuwatse III, appreciated the FRSC for their role in maintaining sanity on Nigerian roads, assuring them of his support and partnership.

 

The Bishop of Flock of Christ Mission, Warri, Archbishop Simeon Okah, who was also at the Olu Palace today, said people who are sensible, should respect the king, saying: “Warri Kingdom is the only kingdom in Delta State that government doesn't give staff of office to function”.

Archbishop Okah, prayed for the Olu to succeed and live long on the throne, adding: "The Olu is like the David of our time".
