DTHA 2015: Mayuku, Diden, Abigor get Uduaghan’s nod

Strong indications have emerged that the incumbent member representing Warri South-West Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly and long serving Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation in the House, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, one-time Chairman of Warri North Local Government, Hon. Michael Diden as well as the Director of Protocol in Delta State Government House, Hon. Godwin Abigor may have gotten Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s nod to represent Itsekiri in Delta State House of Assembly come 2015.

While Hon. Daniel Mayuku is billed to return as the member representing Warri South-West Constituency despite pockets of opposition from some Ijaw Leaders in Gbaramatu, Hon. Michael Diden, who is the member representing Itsekiri ethnic nationality in the Board of DESOPADEC and Chairman of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa gubernatorial political campaign team have allegedly been prevailed upon by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to take over from Hon. Irene Imilar come 2015 as the member representing Warri North Constituency in the State House of Assembly.

Former leader of Warri South Legislative Arm and the longest serving Director of Protocol in Delta State Government House, Hon. Godwin Abigor is also speculated to have received Dr. Uduaghan’s blessing to run for the Warri South Constituency 1 Seat in the State House of Assembly come 2015, even as the incumbent member representing the Constituency and Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Omawumi Udoh has indicated strong interest to recon-test.

Speculations are also rife that Special Assistant to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on Special Duties, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru is also favoured to unseat Hon. Dennis Omovie in the run-off to the Warri South Constituency 11 Seat in the State House of Assembly come 2015.
