Delta State APC Organizing Secretary, Amorighoye Mene addressing APC Faithful at Koko, Warri North LGA, Delta State

The Delta State Organizing Secretary of All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Amorighoye S. Mene has declared that local government election purportedly held on Saturday October 25 in Warri North did not hold, vowing that his party will challenge the purported election in Warri North unit by unit in court.

The APC chieftain made the declaration Monday October 27 at the APC Local Government Secretariat in Koko in the presence of a large crowd of party supporters during a briefing.

Mr. A.S Mene who described the present administration in Delta State as “bad and wicked,” stated that the PDP is not on ground in North Warri Local Government.

He cautioned APC members to shun violence and averred that “this is the last time they will take our vote from us”.

Mr. Mene who was speaking while the PDP Chairmanship Candidate of Warri North, Mr. Eyituoyo Maku alongside his colleagues were being sworn-in at Asaba, the Delta State Capital, accused the DPO in-charge of Koko Police Station, Joseph Abba of complicity in the manipulation of election materials intended for the council poll.

He alleged that the PDP led by a Warri Chief (name withheld) brought thugs to attack APC members and destroyed more than 30 vehicles belonging to APC members.

The State APC Organizing Secretary stated that members of his party allegedly attacked by PDP thugs are presently hospitalized.

APC Councillorship candidate for Abi-Ugborodo ward in Warri North Local Government, Mr. George Inowandajegha in his account said, “I was attacked with a machete on my head by thugs hired by PDP”.

Reports say there was violence in Koko Saturday October 25, between some PDP and APC members, with APC members insisting that all electoral materials must be inspected and ascertained before the poll will be held.
