Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan

A fast growing assemblage of people with like-minds, under the umbrella of Uduaghan Support Group, USG, have outlined the achievements of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in the health, education and other critical sectors, while he was governor of Delta State, as reasons why all eligible youths, women and elders of Delta South, should back Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s Senatorial ambition in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

USG in an electronic statement sent to Fresh Angle International weekend, opined: “During his tenure in the Office as a Governor of Delta State, every government hospital offered free medical services, especially for pregnant women and children, below 5 years”.

The statement, E-signed by the Coordinator, Secretary and Spokesperson of Uduaghan Support Group, Mone Oris, Engr. Okorodudu Gbesimi and Prince Uteyinmi Eyuwanigho, respectively, noted: “During his tenure as governor, it was free Education across all government schools in all senatorial district of Delta state, including free WAEC enrollment for all students in government primary and secondary school.

“Transportation fare was subsidized throughout the state with the introduction of State mass transit popularly ' called Uduaghan Bus'. The Riverine Communities were not left out; Boat and engine were provided for the locals for fishing in the Riverine communities.

“Delta State Teaching Hospital, Oghara was built and equipped with the state of the heart modern medical facilities. Deltan's having kidney problem, enjoyed subsidy at the teaching hospital too. Quality Doctors, Nurses and other health workers were employed. The Central Hospital, Warri was fully equipped to standard and new mother and child session was equally built.

“During his tenure as governor, funds were released adequately for all tertiary institutions in the state, especially Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro; this encouraged the construction of a stadium.

“During his tenure as governor, there were street lighting in all major towns in Delta State, which brought back night life, giving people sense of security and enabled them freely at night.

“During his tenure as a governor, three (3) Technical Schools, across the state were used for free skill acquisition/training; one for each senatorial district.

“There was Renovation of must government public schools across the states. Today Nana College, Warri, other schools in Warri and environs, have become standard modern schools, that can be called a place of learning.

“Construction of access roads at Abigborodo in Warri North,  Umeh in Isoko-South, Dualization of Koko-Ugbenu Road,  just to mention but s few.

“Construction of a three-Storey Building Office Complex for Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, DBIR at Airport Road, Warri. This was to rebrand Warri and make it attractive to multinational oil companies and other investors coming to our state. As a governor, he equally replicated the modern tax office in virtually all local government areas of the state

“Linking Ugbuwangue to other communities in Warri. Before then, it was practically impossible to transit from Effurun Round-About in Uvwie Local Government Area, to Ugbuwangue and other strategic locations in Warri. Everyone can now attests to the easy flow of movement around Warri, because of the construction of the NPA Link Road by the Uduaghan administration.

“When we talk about Security, he was the brain behind the stoppage of the popular Warri crisis, as an Itsekiri man, who never want any Deltan's life to be lost, he did everything possible to stop the crisis. Today we are living peacefully in the Oil City of Warri; all because he sacrificed everything to restore and maintain peace among his people.

“Also, he was able to put an end to kidnapping in Warri. Before he became governor, Delta State, especially Warri was headquarters of kidnappers. He was able to stop this, because he is a strategist on security matter. Today one can sleep with two eyes open and celebrate the Christmas in Warri. because, he was able to arrest the various criminal gang/ cartel terrorizing the City.

“We can't discuss EEU projects, without mentioning how he positioned Itsekiri, Ijaws, Isokos and other tribes in strategic offices at the state and federal levels.

“At the National level, Delta South produces the highest revenue for the state and the Federation but, we are not treated fairly. Therefore, we need a quality representation, such as Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, to attract/enjoy commensurate projects/programmes from the Federal Government”.
