Ughelli/ Udu Federal Constituency Seat: Group drums support for Okoh’s 2023 ambition

A political pressure group, PDP Youths For Good Governance, PYFGG, has canvassed support for a former Vice Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Area, Olorogun (Hon.) Eunice Daji Okoh, in her bid to contest the Ughelli North, Ughelli South/ Udu Constituency Seat in the House of Representatives in the forthcoming polls, assuring her of mobilizing massive support to ensure her victory.

Fresh Angle International understands that the President of PYFGG, Comrade Jerry Ejakpovi, who reportedly spoke to newsmen at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP mega rally held at Asaba over the weekend, described the Okwagbe-born political icon and Senior Special Assistant on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, “as the best candidate for the Ughelli North, Ughelli South/ Udu Constituency Seat in the House of Representatives.

Ejakpovi noted: “Due to her philanthropic gestures, Olorogun Okoh has become a darling to people at the grassroots in the three local government areas that make up the constituency. She is a long standing active member of the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, who knows the aspirations of the Urhobo Nation, particularly the people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South / Udu Federal Constituency”.

"This is an added advantage over other aspirants .Urhobo needs patriotic and knowledgeable representatives and not just politicians at the National Assembly. " he added

According to the group, Hon Evelyn Oboro, was a good example of a female patriotic and knowledgeable representative, who made Urhobo Nation proud at the National Assembly.

While stating that, “Olorogun Okoh, will do the same if not better, if given the opportunity”, Ejakpovi, noted: “Olorogun Okoh had contributed more to the growth and development of the party at the local government, constituency and state levels, in terms of employment and party hosting .

He appealed to the PDP leadership, “to be gender friendly, when making the choice of who to represent the party in the forthcoming primaries, in favour of Olorogun Okoh”.
