Warri South Local Government Council in Delta State, have demanded details of persons affected by the fire incident that occurred Monday January 31 at Esisi Road in Warri.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, who was accompanied to the scene of the fire incident Wednesday February 2, by Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, explained that the decision to extract accurate data of those affected by the inferno, was to enable the Council adequately brief the Delta State Commissioner, Bureau For Special Duties, Mr. Johnbull Atse Edema on the unfortunate incident.
Whilst promising the victims of the State Government’s support, Dr. Tidi, again warned residents of Warri against burning of bushes and refuse, particularly during this Harmattan period.
Tidi appealed to residents in the council area to be mindful of how they handle fire this period, calling on all business owners to always switch off their electrical appliances, before they close for the day.
