A Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Matters , Hon Voke Omagbemi has strongly advised the Warri Urhobos to queue behind the governor on his choice of who becomes his ( Okowa ) successor in 2023.
The Warri Urhobo born political icon gave the advised in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at Ugboroke , Uvwie Local Government Area at the weekend.
Voke posited that Governor Okowa was Godly and that a man with God is in majority.
He also noted noted that Governor Okowa gave Warri Urhobos a great political leverage in terms of employment and infrastructural development.
" We ( Warri Urhobos ) therefore should queue behind governor Okowa on his choice of his successor in order to get more political leverages "
Voke maintained that Governor Okowa meant well for the entire Urhobo Nation.
He however stated that the Urhobos should recalled that in 2014 the issue of zoning was jettisoned by the Urhobos and that Governor Okowa was compelled to pass through the rigor of a primary which he won against an Urhobo candidate.
Voke had earlier posited that Governor Okowa has empowered a lot of youths since he came on board and therefore urged the youths of Delta State to support him to finish strongly in 2023 .
