Delta Guber 2023: I will turbine our natural gas to power - Governorship hopeful, Iyovwaye promises

Delta State 2023 Governorship hopeful, under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, has promised that if elected, he will turbine the abundant natural gas in the state to power.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, made the promise, Monday April 4 in Warri, Delta State, when his friends cum groups; the Progressive Men, Women and Youths of Isoko, Urhobo Unity Forum, Youth Arise and Deltans in Global Diaspora as well as supporters, purchased the expression of interest as well as nomination forms for the governorship race and presented same to him, urging him to join the race and begin consultation with a view to succeeding Governor Ifeanyi Okowa come 2023.

He said as part of his plans to energize the state, some riverine communities would be powered by converting natural gas to electricity.

Deacon Iyovwaye, added that 12 mineral resources abound in Delta State, but yet to be tapped, noting that the minerals are not in the exclusive list, promising to harness them into proper economic use, if given the mandate to govern the state.

While promising better development plan for youths in the state, he commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, “for his achievements”.

Deacon Iyovwaye, said he will build industries to engage the over 65 percent youths of the state, arrange new and modern security system to attract more investors as well as set-up bolt and nut industry, “which will cost less than 150 thousand Dollars to establish”.

He appreciated his friends that purchased the expression of interest as well as nomination forms for him, assuring them of becoming a good governor, “for a new song of development for all Deltans”.

The President-General of Uvwie Improvement Union, Chief Hope Erute, while presenting the forms on behalf of the different groups/friends, said they picked, “a sellable aspirant”, that can cut across the state, saying Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, “is a man that fears God and capable of salvaging Delta State in 2023”.

 A founding member of PDP in Okpe Local Government Area, Chief (Pa.) Daniel Okoro, Pst. Votu Vhoven, Pst. Preye Foe, Prince (Dr.) Jalogho Williams, Chief Westham Adehor and Prince Cogent Owhe, were among notable personalities that spoke, during presentation of the forms to Deacon Chris Iyovwaye.
