DTHA 2023: Why Jite Brown is the Best Material for Udu- Group

A political pressure group known as the Consensus for Greater Udu, CGU has taken a swipe at another group opposed to the House of Assembly aspirations of the Udu Council boss, Chief Onajite Brown, noting that the group was faceless and that the claim that his candidature will push Udu into opposition was a lie from the pit of hell as Chief Jite brown was the best material for DTHA for 2023 and in fact a major factor in the electoral victory of the PDP in Udu in the 2019 general elections.

According to a statement by the Coordinator and Secretary of Consensus for Greater Udu LGA, Comrade Freeborn Ovwemejepha and White Ofuafo Ghavwan respectively described the ‘’so called Concerned Udu Citizens for Progress and Development as non-existent. While the faces behind the mask are well known to us, we want to emphasize that the names in the publications are fake. There are no such names in Udu. We wanted to ignore their unwarranted outburst but for the sake of unsuspecting members of the public who may be misled into believing the bundle of lies being churned into the public space, we are compelled to speak out and clear the air.

‘’We are proud to announce to the public that it was our group that gave the Council Chairman an ultimatum to declare for the House of Assembly because of his uncommon performance records and for attracting over 70 percent of appointments to Udu. Chief Jite Brown was the major factor responsible for the victory of the PDP in Udu in 2019 general polls. He fought like the man he is, mobilized the entire PDP family into the elections and made sure PDP delivered handsomely in his time as Council boss.

‘’It is an indisputable fact that Jite Brown is the reason why Udu is not in opposition today. So for anybody to push such garbage into the public space that Jite Brown will force Udu into opposition is the height of primitive and irresponsible politics filled with hatred and vicious recklessness. Chief Jite Brown is the modern face of the PDP in Udu, he epitomizes progress, development and uncommon grace in political exploits. Jite Brown is unstoppable and those ranting about some nebulous Udu south and north nomenclature are making unnecessary and baseless claims that do not agree with the reality in Udu.

The Consensus for Greater Udu who are mainly for the so called Udu South are solidly behind Jite Brown. The Udu South and North dichotomy exists only in the imagination of those who want to exclude some sections of Udu from any healthy democratic contests.

They noted that the Udu seat in the House of Assembly belongs to all and the candidature of Jite Brown can only invest greater credibility on Udu political glory and the performance of the PDP in the coming polls, stressing that those who are scared of the candidature of Chief Jite Brown, both from within and outside the PDP are the ones behind the publication.

"CGU further revealed that they will strongly resist anything that will be cajole by some elements ) known as Political under-takers and Destiny killers masqueradinag as Equity Propagandists coming with unclean hands against the natural principle of EQUITY.

"You cannot be looking for people to be usually ambushed Politically under the cover of Equity or a non existing Udu South and Udu North arrangement. NEVER, because Udu is one unity family/LGA.

CGU in their statement through their Coordinator and Secretary Comrade Freeborn Ovwemejepha and White Ofuafo Ghavwan said ’We use this opportunity to call on the teeming supporters of Chief Jite Brown to stay the course, remain firm in their support for the winning team as the assurance is that with Jite Brown, Udu will have no business with opposition politics again’’, the group stated.
