Breaking: Protesting support staff of WRPC ready for showdown with military
The protesting support staff of WRPC

Credible pieces of information made available to Fresh Angle International in the wee hours of today, Friday May 6, have revealed that protesting staff of Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC, have vowed to resist alleged attempts by  management of the NNPC subsidiary to forcefully chase them from continuing day - five of the protest today.

The aggrieved workers, who have served the company between 10 and 27 years without any condition of service and stagnant salary, accused the Managing Director of WRPC and the Manager, Security, Engr. Tunde Bakare and Mr. Hope Akpodetie, respectively of the plot to use military force and other inhuman means to stop their peaceful protest.

Your Soaring International Tabloid can report that the support staff, who began the protest Thursday April 28 at WRPC premises in Warri, want the management of NNPC to increase their salary, regularize their job status or pay them off .

They alleged: " Whenever the management of WRPC wants to run the plant, they will use us to do the job. We do essential jobs in the plant, yet the management of WRPC don't want to give us good condition of service or regularize our job."
