Delta :Subscribers suffer limited internet service in MTN 4 G Network

Majority of MTN  subscribers, using 4 G network in parts of Delta State, have been suffering limited internet service since Wednesday May 4, Findings by Fresh Angle International, has revealed.

There has been no explanation from the telecommunications giant and it could not be ascertained as at the time of this report, if the prolonged lack of electricity supply from Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC has anything to do with the declining internet service being experienced by MTN subscribers in the 4 G network, with some persons suspecting that the zero public power supply may be negatively affecting base stations belonging to  MTN.

While some parts of Warri, Jeddo, Osubi and Effurun receive the usual internet service during the day and night, very large parts  of the aforementioned populated towns, are temporarily shutout from internet service as thousands of subscribers had been finding it difficult to browse in the last one week, forcing many of them   to switch from MTN 4 G network to  3 G, to be able to access internet for their social and economic activities.

A subscriber ( name withheld) told this newspaper: "  I was surprised when I noticed that some persons using MTN  within my neighborhood, were using their social media apps like Facebook, Telegram, Twitter and WhatsApp easily, but I couldn't do same. After days of frustration and asking questions, I discovered that those on the 3 G network, had internet service. I had to switch from 4 G to 3 G, before I started enjoying reasonable internet service again. I am surprised that MTN has not issued a statement, to tell us what could be the problem."
