Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area and top contender for the Warri South Constituency 2 Seat in the fast approaching 2023 general elections, under the PDP platform, Dr. Michael Tidi, has continued his campaign for delegates to support his legislative ambition, saying the party's philosophy of pursuing excellence at all times, should come to play in the House of Assembly primary rescheduled for May 18 across the country.
Dr. Tidi, who made the call Tuesday May 10, in a press statement, opined that the current Director - General of World Trade Organization, Dr. ( Mrs.) Ngozi Okonjo - Iweala, President of African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, two prominent ambassadors of Nigeria,, served as ministers in the federal executive council, under the ex - President Goodluck Jonathan led PDP government, " because of the high premium PDP places on competence, creativity and fidelity of communication."
The House of Assembly hopeful, urged party delegates to drop retrogressive sentiments and vote him as PDP candidate for Warri South Constituency 2: " So that I can advance my resolve to revive the socio - economic life and infrastructural development of Warri South, to an appreciable level, through initiation of quality pieces of legislation and effective oversight, geared towards making the programmes and policies of the state government more visible in Warri South Local Government Area and other parts of the state."
