19-member ABPFEON executive, inaugurated in Delta

A 19-member executive of Delta State Chapter of the Association of Beauty Pageants and Fashion Exhibition Organizers of Nigeria, ABPFEON, has been inaugurated.

 

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the new leadership of ABPFEON, was inaugurated Saturday May 14 in Warri, the commercial nerve center of Delta State.  

 

While inaugurating the new state executive, the Delta State Chairman of ABPFEON, Amb. Temisan Louis Mayorkings, said the association comprises of members who are employers of labour, saying their programmes and activities, contribute to the economic growth of Delta State in particular and the country at large.

 

According to Amb. Temisan, the investments that benefit from the programmes of ABPFEON, include event centres, photography, videography, the media and other associated value chain of the entertainment industry.

He appealed to government at all levels to support the association, adding that fashion designers are looking forward to fashion exhibition show in Delta State, just as he insisted that all fashion and beauty pageant organizers, must be members of ABPFEON, for their better welfare coverage.

 

The State ABPFEON Chairman, revealed plans to set up a taskforce that would ensure that all potential members register with the association, saying dispute and reconciliatory committees, will be put in place, to ensure compliance.

 

Amb. Temisan, who is the pioneer Chairman of ABPFEON in Delta State, assured that before first 100 days in office, the people will hear more about the activities of the association, promising to organize better shows in Delta State, compared to events staged in Lagos.

 

He solicited the support of multinational companies operating in Delta State, NGOs and other stakeholders in the resolve to promote entertainment industry in the state

 

In her remarks, Delta State Vice Chairman of ABPFEON, Mrs. Moriah Williams, enjoined her colleagues to work in synergy with the state chairman, to guarantee people-oriented achievement for the association.

 

She opined that the activities of ABPFEON, would positively check youth restiveness and other social vices.
