JCI seeks partnership with Edo Government

The Junior Chambers International, JCI has sought the partnership of Edo State Government in her quest to better the society.

JCI Vice President Area B, Anthony Egonu made the plea when they visited the Edo State Government in Benin City.

The JCI delegation was received by the Edo State Commissioner for Economic, Budget and Planning, Hon. Lawrence Aghedo.

The National President, JCI Nigeria, Seun Osikalu, while stating that JCI is the first Non-Governmental Organization to be registered in Nigeria, explained that JCI has contributed a lot in the country, providing malaria treated nets and the training of youths to improve their capacity and technical development.

On his part, the International Vice President JCI in-charge of Africa and Middle East, Itai Manyere noted that the Chamber has contributed immensely towards the actualization of the Millennium Development Goals, MDGs.

Responding, Edo State Commissioner for Economic, Budget and Planning, Hon. Lawrence Aghedo expressed satisfaction with the activities of JCI and assured them that the Edo State Government is ready for any partnership geared towards developing the society.

The JCI delegation also visited office of the Executive Director Youth Affairs, Edo State.
