Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, Dr. Michael Tidi, has tasked parents and guardians to be conscious of their position as role models at all times, to the children and youths.
Dr. Tidi, who gave the charge Thursday May 26, in a message to mark this year's children's day, stressed that the positive and negative challenges associated with the internet age, demand concerted efforts by parents and guardians to carefully mentor their children and wards, to grow up to become responsible citizens and reliable future leaders.
According to the Warri South Local Government Boss, parents should work the talk by living responsibly, because children tends to model their lives the way they see their parents conduct themselves daily.
He cautioned the children against indulging in drug addiction, cultism, internet fraud and other vices capable of destroying their future.
