Former two - time Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Hon. Omamofe Joseph Pirah, has described the choice of Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as Vice Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 general elections, as reassuring in the quest to reset Nigeria towards the path of genuine progressive, security and development.

Hon.Pirah, also an ex Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties in Delta State Executive Council and former Commissioner in Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, made the statement today, Friday June 17, in a goodwill message to felicitate with Governor Okowa on his emergence as running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, PDP Presidential flag bearer in the poll fixed for next year.
He posited: " Dr. Okowa's experience in government, right from his days as local government chairman, commissioner, Secretary to Delta State Government, Senator and now governor of Delta State, will greatly oil our party's campaign machinery in the build - up to the general elections, give us victory at the polls and ultimately result in people - driven governance at the federal level."
The PDP Chieftain, expressed optimism that members of the PDP, irrespective of tribe, religion and perspective to issues, would close rank and work in synergy, towards, " rescuing Nigeria " come 2023.
