According to her, people in Warri and environs, were educated with flyers and verbal interaction as regards knowing more about the challenge of Sickle Cell and how to reduce the warriors.

She disclosed that the Red Umbrella walk, was done Nation - wide, to commemorate this year's World Sickle Cell Day, coming up tomorrow, Sunday June 19.

Mukoro, described this year's walk as a huge improvement from previous ones organized in Delta State, thanking God and her partners, for making the walk memorable.

She particularly commended Shola Mese Foundation, Safari Pharmacy and Laboratories, Westend Hospital, Motion Pixture Studios, Vita Fruits, Rotary Club, Mojo C, Fat House and Sport staff, amongst others, for their contributions toward the success of the walk cum enlightenment campaign.

Mukoro, gave a ray of hope to those living with Sickle Cell (SS) and married to AS genotype partners, saying they can raise children of their own through adoption, genetics implantation or amino synthesis - knowing if the foetus has SS genotype.

Speaking in the same light, the Founder of Shola Mese Foundation, Dcn. Shola Mese, advised Deltans to know their genotype, so as to avoid the birth of more Sickle Cell Warriors.

He admonished those who are SS, to adhere strictly to their medications and honour their appointments with Doctors, so as to remain healthy Warriors.
