Ahead of the May 29 inauguration of the President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, a group known as the South South APC Youth has demanded for the Senate Presidency position to be given to the South-South in order to balance the emerging political permutation according to the zoning arrangement.
The group in a statement through their Leader and former APC Councilor, Hon. Ojugbana Ejike at the Premises of the Delta Broadcasting Service in Asaba, Delta State said the call has become extremely necessary as result of the unfolding political developments in the country.
According to Hon. Ejike, “it has come to our knowledge that the incoming government has resolved to zone the Seat of the Senate President to the North Central, owing to the fact that the South-East geo political zone did not produce any APC Senator in the last election”.
